I am slowly realizing how much planning goes into weddings. I am looking at ceremony and reception sites and trying to determine how to even compare them. I guess I will just have to follow my gut when it tells me "this is the place." I hope it comes sooner than later.
Another realization I am having is that my pattern making and sewing skills are not up to snuff. In fact, I am questioning whether I have any at all. I am very much out of practice and like any other thing in life, practice makes perfect. So before I start my wedding dress I am now planning on making several other dresses which incorporate details or techniques I want to use on my wedding dress. The good thing is Matt and I have three other weddings to attend before July. That means I have an excuse to make three dresses. That should get my skills up to par and hopefully ensure my wedding dress doesn't turn into an ugly mess. That would be sad. Very very sad.
